La Concorde Bakery supplies a massive daily volume of baked goods across South Africa — over 500 product lines, going out to clients ranging from large catering groups to small restaurant chains. Orders come in fast and often, and the systems customers use to place them vary just as much.
They needed one process to manage all of it. We helped them build it.
Different customers, one simple process
Some of La Concorde’s bigger clients — like MyMarket and Empact Group — use EDI to send through their orders. Others, like restaurant buyers, needed something fast, mobile-friendly, and easy to use. And then there were customers without much system access at all, still emailing in orders manually.
Instead of forcing one system on everyone, we gave La Concorde three connected ways to handle it all:
- EDI integrations push large buyer orders directly into Sage Evolution.
- A branded B2B order app lets restaurant clients place accurate, repeatable orders in a few taps.
- Email-based Excel orders are automatically picked up, cleaned, and processed by Utopia.
The result: every customer can order the way that works best for them — and LaConcorde gets everything flowing into the same ERP, cleanly and reliably.
It’s not about channels — it’s about control
La Concorde’s internal team doesn’t need to chase down missing details or patch together orders from multiple inboxes anymore. Whether it came from an app, a spreadsheet, or a procurement system, every order is validated and posted into Sage, ready to go.
No extra admin. No recon. Just a smoother, more efficient operation.
Why it works
This wasn’t a tech project — it was a practical solution to a business problem: how to reduce friction without disrupting how customers prefer to work?
By combining the right tools — EDI, app-based ordering, and automated email handling — Moditar helped La Concorde run a tighter ship without slowing anyone down.
If your team is still dealing with order chaos, let’s fix it. We’ll help you get control without asking your customers to change how they work.
