Gilfresh Produce, a leading UK-based fresh food supplier, recently undertook a major systems upgrade — moving their core ERP to Acumatica. With that came a new challenge: integrating with multiple UK retail trading networks to streamline their order and invoice flows.
The brief: secure, flexible, UK-based integration
To keep operations efficient, Gilfresh needed seamless EDI integrations with TrueCommerce and Atlas — platforms that cover the bulk of their retail trading partners. But just as importantly, they wanted to maintain full control over infrastructure, security, and resources.
Rather than outsourcing to a hosted SaaS provider, Gilfresh chose to self-host Utopia, giving their internal IT team full visibility and control over all integration activity.
Built for independence
Moditar delivered a full-featured Utopia deployment on Gilfresh’s own servers, using:
- - The Utopia API connector for real-time transactions.
- The SFTP connector for secure file-based exchanges.
- Streamlined data pipelines into Acumatica ERP.
The result? Seamless communication with retail partners, delivered through a system they fully own and operate.
Partnership in practice
While many integration providers require customers to fit into a rigid platform model, Moditar tailored the solution to fit Gilfresh’s specific needs and infrastructure—all without compromising on delivery time, quality, or support.
“We love working with UK clients who value long-term flexibility and technical independence,” says the Moditar team. “Gilfresh took control of their integration journey, and we were proud to support them every step of the way.”
A UK project, delivered like we were in the room
At Moditar, we work with businesses across industries to deliver turnkey integration projects — fast, secure, and tailored to your environment. Gilfresh’s project is another example of how we seamlessly deliver for UK-based companies, no matter where the infrastructure lives.
